Introduction

Welcome to Good Soil Apps. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the mobile applications published by Good Soil Apps, LLC ("we", "our", or "us"), including Christian Reader, Good Soil Bible Memory, Without Ceasing, and CTW Roots (collectively, "our Apps").

By downloading, installing, or using any of our Apps, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Apps.

Description of Services

Christian Reader is a mobile application for reading and listening to classic Christian literature. The app provides free access to the full text of public-domain Christian works (Puritan, Reformed, and classic theological texts) and offers a premium subscription for audiobook listening with real-time sentence-by-sentence text tracing.

Our other Apps provide tools for Bible memorization (Good Soil Bible Memory), prayer tracking (Without Ceasing), and ministry management (CTW Roots). Each app is designed to support Christians in their spiritual growth.

User Accounts

Some features of our Apps require you to create an account. You may sign up using an email address and password, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In. Some Apps also offer a guest mode with limited functionality.

When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

Free and Premium Features

Free Features

All users have free access to:

• Full text reading of all books in the Christian Reader library
• Bookmarks and highlights
• Library management and reading progress tracking
• Book browsing and discovery
• Community features such as book reviews and audiobook request voting

Premium Features (Christian Reader Pro)

Premium subscribers gain access to:

• Audiobook listening with high-quality text-to-speech narration
• Real-time text tracing (sentence-by-sentence highlighting synced to audio)
• Background audio playback
• Audiobook downloads for offline listening

Subscription Terms

Christian Reader Pro is available as a monthly subscription with a 7-day free trial. By subscribing, you agree to the following:

• Free Trial: New subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged.
• Auto-Renewal: After the free trial, your subscription will automatically renew each month at the current subscription price unless you cancel before the end of the current billing period.
• Billing: Payment is processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your device. Your app store account will be charged upon confirmation of purchase and at the start of each renewal period.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's app store settings (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will continue to have access to premium features until that period ends.
• Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.
• Price Changes: We may change subscription prices from time to time. Any price changes will take effect at the start of the next billing period following the date of the price change. We will notify you of any price changes in advance.

User Responsibilities

When using our Apps, you agree not to:

• Use the Apps for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Apps
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, servers, or databases
• Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Apps or the servers hosting them
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
• Use the Apps to harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Apps without our permission
• Use automated scripts or bots to access or interact with the Apps

Intellectual Property

The Apps, including their design, features, code, and branding, are the property of Good Soil Apps, LLC and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

The book content available in Christian Reader consists of public-domain works. While the original texts are in the public domain, our specific formatting, organization, modern translations, and audiobook narrations are proprietary.

User-Generated Content

Our Apps may allow you to create content such as book reviews, ratings, highlights, bookmarks, notes, and feedback submissions. You retain ownership of the content you create. By submitting content through our Apps, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and use that content within the Apps (for example, displaying your book review to other users).

We reserve the right to remove any user-generated content that violates these Terms or that we find objectionable at our sole discretion.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Our Apps are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• The Apps will be available at all times or without interruption
• The Apps will be free of errors, bugs, or security vulnerabilities
• Any content or data you access through the Apps will be accurate or reliable
• Audio content will be generated or available for all books at all times

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Good Soil Apps, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Apps.

In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or related to these Terms or the Apps exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or fifty dollars ($50), whichever is greater.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Apps at our discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

You may delete your account at any time through the settings within each App or by contacting us at sam@goodsoilapps.com. Upon account deletion, your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Apps after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

We encourage you to review these Terms periodically for any changes.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of our Apps shall be resolved in accordance with applicable law.
